Have heard good things about this place. So I had to check it out. And was truly blown away by this sandwich from Popletti. I got the soprano on seeded roll with banana peppers and omg I was screaming sitting my car eating it bc it was SO GOOD. They have a pretty extensive menu, and I will definitely be going back to explore more of it. Additionally, they had lots of other items like packed to go meals and sauces, pastas, beverages, and other cute gifty items for pet lovers. It appears to be multiple small businesses located in this space. The staff was super welcoming and helpful. There is a small dining area inside with 4(?) seats. Looks to be a popular take out spot. You can order ahead of time, but I ordered in person. They told me it'd be 15 mins so ran to the store, came back and it was ready. The sandwich was phenomenal. Everything was fresh and flavorful. And they give you a lot, enough for 2 meals for me. Can't wait to go back!

fter hearing great things about Polpetti Italian Sandwiches from a friend, I decided to bike over and check them out. They're tucked inside the Market on Meadow store, which I thought was new, but they've actually been there for about three years. The owner recently bought the building and plans to rebrand since they're now the only vendor there. Even better, they're opening a second location at Harrison and Grace St. soon! I ordered the Soprano sub, and it was absolutely incredible. It comes loaded with hot soppressata, capicola, ham, sharp provolone, arugula, olive salad, red onion, vinaigrette, and mayo on fresh bread. I added sweet peppers and banana peppers for a little extra punch, and it was a great choice. The flavors were perfectly balanced--the salty meats paired beautifully with the tangy olive salad and sharp provolone, while the vinaigrette and mayo brought everything together. The bread was amazing--crusty on the outside, soft on the inside--and it turns out they get it from New York City! The owner is such a nice guy, and we ended up chatting for a while about his bread sourcing and plans for the business. You can tell he's passionate about what he does, and it really comes through in the food. Polpetti is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets. Whether you're a sandwich aficionado or just looking for a great meal, this spot is worth the visit. I can't wait to come back and try more--and to check out their new location when it opens!

My neighbor turned me onto this place and I love it. I have been here twice, and both times I ordered the Soprano on a seeded roll with long peppers. It is amazing. I'm going to try some of the other things on the menu the next time I stop by. This is a to-go restaurant, but they have a couple seats by the window. You can place your order online so that you can skip the wait.

Their Turkey Pesto on Ciabatta with banana peppers is everything and more. That ciabatta was soooo good and the salty, sweet, tangy, herby flavors in that first bite should be shared with the world so go ahead and give it a try. Be mindful that there's usually only 1 person crafting up these beauties but it's worth the wait!

I just had an absolutely phenomenal sandwich from Polpetti at Market on Meadow. Moved to Richmond from Brooklyn 3 years ago and have been searching for a place that makes something remotely as good as this, and honestly this was better than what I was looking for. The seeded semolina bread is just like back home (because as I found out, it actually is from NYC). The soprano sandwich is an amazing italian sub. Must go in Richmond.

Market on Meadow's sandwich game is strong. The may be a tad on the pricey side with your average sub running about $15 but man oh man they are worth every cent. They are giant and packed with the most delicious, fresh ingredients! Definitely enough for two or to save for another meal or you can just live your best life like me and eat the whole damn thing! Can't risk that delicious bread being soggy later, you know?! They also serve up some seriously yummy salads. And at the bargain price of $5 for a side it's a great deal because they are like dinner size! Next time you are craving a sandwich give it a go at Meadow!

We were driving through and decided to stop in for a snack. We ordered a pastrami sandwich and pork adobo. Both were on point! The pork adobo was like my titas (aunties) would make. The pastrami sandwich is just as good as if you ordered it from a NY deli. I was a bit disappointed that there were no desserts I could see. If you're serving Filipino food, you should at least have leche flan or even some halo-halo would be great.

I've always been a fan of Auntie Ning's but this was my first time in the market. I called in for pickup and my order was ready when I got there 10mins later. All the sweets looked enticing so I inquired about buying some from Polpetti. I love sfogiatelle so that was on my list. The owners let me taste a bunch of the sweets before buying. I forgot what everything was called, but I got a small box assortment for $5. I'll def have to come back for some NY bagels!
